Tracy Kleeman is a New Hampshire-native, Director, Editor, Writer & Producer based in Los Angeles, CA.
Tracy's extensive production knowledge and experience was amassed over more than 15 years in the industry and includes credits in film, commercials, scripted & unscripted television, live production, docu-series, daytime talk, and web content. She has gained a reputation for being highly skilled and organized with the ability to fill multiple roles including Director, Producer, Editor, Production Manager, Stage Manager, On Set Photographer and Camera Operator.
Shortly after moving to Los Angeles to pursue her filmmaking dream in 2015, Tracy accepted a position as Assistant to James Wan on the DC Entertainment and Warner Brothers Blockbuster "Aquaman" and spent the majority of 2017 in Australia filming the project. Her short film "Housekeeping" was shot during her time in Australia and premiered as an official selection at “LA Shortsfest” and “The New Hampshire International Film Festival.” While mentoring under James Wan, Tracy also worked on multiple horror films including “Annabelle Comes Home,” “The Nun,” “The Curse of La Llrona” and “The Conjuring 3.” Following her time with Wan, she released her viral short horror film “Fear Filter” which has amassed over 10 million views online. Tracy was picked up by James Wan’s agent at CAA as a promising new female voice in horror and was quickly attached as Director to several feature films in development.
In 2021 Tracy was selected to Direct and Produce a short film for Hulu’s “Bite Size Halloween” series entitled “Witch, Please”. Her latest short film “WORTHLESS” premiered at the Mammoth Film Festival and was nominated for “Best Director: Narrative Short.” During the Summer of 2024, Tracy was selected as a TV Directing Mentee as part of Ryan Murphy’s Half Initiative Program. Tracy’s first feature film, “CLAIRE” is scheduled to shoot in 2025.
Tracy is looking to build lasting relationships with production companies as a freelancer as well as develop and produce her own projects moving forward.
